About

The Salon draws inspiration from the legendary salon exhibitions of the late 1800s and early 1900s—spaces where artists, patrons, and communities gathered to exchange ideas, discover new voices, and celebrate the evolving language of art. Reimagined through a contemporary San Diego lens, this exhibition transforms the gallery into a vibrant, floor-to-ceiling showcase of creative energy and artistic dialogue.

Featuring work by over 19 artists, The Salon brings together established voices alongside emerging and upcoming talent, creating a dynamic cross-section of the region’s contemporary art community. Presented in alignment with the gallery’s nonprofit mission, the exhibition is rooted in access, opportunity, and visibility—affirming that meaningful platforms for artists should be shared, inclusive, and community-driven.

Bold, dense, and immersive, The Salon invites viewers to move through a layered landscape of styles, mediums, and perspectives—offering a collective portrait of San Diego’s artists in conversation with both history and each other.
